TRAVEL REPORT:

We had a lovely 4th of July weekend at the newly-opened W Retreat & Spa (Vieques Island, Puerto Rico). Apparently, June was a month of terrential downpours, but we had perfect weather (it only rained on the day we left, which made me less sad to leave). Trip highlights: kayaking through the bioluminescent bay in clear kayaks, and horseback riding on the beach (my horse, Tornado, was aptly named–he always wanted to run, despite his short legs!) Dining at the new Alain Ducasse restaurant, miX On The Beach, was also a treat–be sure to order the “lobster au curry,” which is simply divine!
