On January 28, M2 Ultralounge in Manhattan hosted a fundraiser for Haiti, ANSWERING THE CALL: A Fundraising Initiative Benefiting Earthquake Victims in Haiti. The beneficiaries were the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Project Medishare, Haiti Support Project and Yele Haiti. $90,000 was pledged even before the event began. In attendance were many influential New York personalities, including Governor David A. Paterson, who made a compelling speech touching on Haiti’s tumultuous history.
